Discover is where you find patterns other makers have published on Knytstudio. It now shows the craft on every pattern, has a search box and craft filters, and ranks patterns the way Reddit ranks posts: the top of today, this week, this month, this year or all time.
The craft on every pattern
Every pattern card now says what it is for: cross stitch, knitting, crochet, amigurumi, fuse beads or pixel art. You can see at a glance what you would be making before you open it.
To see one craft only, pick it under the sort. Amigurumi patterns are listed under crochet, and each one is labelled Amigurumi.
Search
Type a word in the search box and Discover finds the patterns whose name, description or tags match it: “fox”, “christmas”, “rose”. The search works with every sort and craft, so “top fuse bead hearts of all time” is one search and two taps away.
Newest, Trending and Top
- Newest shows what was just published.
- Trending changes every day. It weighs how much people like, save, stitch and look at a pattern against how long ago it was published, so a new pattern people enjoy rises above one from last spring.
- Top shows the most-loved patterns of a period: today, this week, this month, this year or all time. It ranks the patterns published in that time by likes, saves, remixes, people stitching them, finished pieces and views. Top opens on this week.
Every like, save and finished piece you add helps the patterns you love reach more makers.
The same on the website and in the app
Discover looks and works the same on knytstudio.com/discover and in the app’s Discover tab, on your phone and on a computer. In the app, the heart likes a pattern, Remix makes your own copy, and the theme and difficulty filters are still there.
On the website, the address keeps your view. Copy it to share “this month’s top knitting patterns” with a friend, and they see the same list.
You can also ask an AI assistant. In ChatGPT’s built-in browser, ask for “the top knitting patterns this week” or “trending Halloween patterns”, and it opens Discover with that list.
Publish yours
The patterns on Discover are made by people like you. If you have made one you are proud of, open it and choose Publish (how publishing works). As people like, save and stitch it, it climbs Trending and Top. Public patterns are free for everyone to download.

How does Top work on Discover?
Top shows the patterns published in the time you pick (today, this week, this month, this year or all time), ranked by likes, saves, remixes, people stitching them, finished pieces and views. Top opens on this week.
What is the difference between Trending and Top?
Top ranks the patterns published in one period. Trending has no period: it weighs how much people engage with a pattern against how long ago it was published, so a new pattern people like rises above an older one, and the list changes every day.
Can I see only knitting or fuse bead patterns?
Yes. Pick a craft under the sort: cross stitch, knitting, crochet, fuse beads or pixel art. Amigurumi patterns are under crochet.
