1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Knytstudio ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. By using Knytstudio, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.
3. Description of Service
Knytstudio is a web-based application for creating and sharing knitting and crafting patterns. The Service allows users to design patterns, save them to their account, and optionally share them with others.
4. User Accounts
When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of the patterns and content you create using Knytstudio. By uploading or sharing content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, display, and distribute your content as necessary to provide the Service.
You agree not to upload content that:
- Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
- Is illegal, harmful, or offensive
- Contains malware or malicious code
- Violates the privacy of others
6. Intellectual Property
The Knytstudio application, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software without permission.
7. Premium Features and Payments
Some features may require a paid subscription. Payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Use automated tools to scrape or collect data
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
9. Service Availability
We strive to keep Knytstudio available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knytstudio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, but provisions that should survive (such as limitation of liability) will remain in effect.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the app. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden, without regard to conflict of law principles.
