Silk Merino 50g

Silky Merino is a soft, supple DK yarn in a luxurious blend of silk and merino wool. The yarn is single-ply and has a beautiful drape, a smooth feel and a subtle sheen from the silk.

The combination of merino wool and silk makes the yarn comfortable to wear next to the skin, and it is especially lovely for garments and accessories where you want both softness and an elegant drape. The fibres take up the dye slightly differently, which gives the shades extra depth and life.

Silky Merino works well for both simple and more detailed projects, such as textured knitting, cables, lace knitting and colourwork.

Note: Colours may vary between dye lots and, in some colours, even between skeins from the same dye lot. We therefore recommend buying enough yarn for the whole project. For a more even colour distribution, you can alternate between two skeins as you work.
