A soft, hard-wearing 4ply yarn in 85 % superwash merino wool and 15 % Neon Donegal Nep. The small neps give the yarn a lively look and have an extra special feature: they glow under ultraviolet light.
The yarn is tightly twisted, which gives good stitch definition and makes it especially suitable for socks and other projects that need a little extra durability. It takes dye beautifully and knits up into a soft fabric with a lovely drape.
For regular garments, needles of around 2.75 mm work well. If you are knitting socks, you may want to go down to about 2.25 mm for a denser, more hard-wearing result.
Ideal for: Socks, fine garments, shawls, and weaving as warp or weft.
