Tynn Peer Gynt was launched in autumn 2022 as a finer version of the classic Peer Gynt. The yarn is made from the same Norwegian wool and has the same hard-wearing, shape-retaining properties, but gives a finer, lighter result.
Norwegian wool has good springiness and gets softer the more the garment is used. Tynn Peer Gynt is lovely for finer sweaters, cardigans, children’s garments, accessories and colourwork. The yarn is 3-ply, while the original Peer Gynt is 4-ply.
Because wool breathes, the garment does not need washing very often. Feel free to air it between wears. For machine washing, a separate, gentle wool programme is recommended. Spin well and leave the garment to dry flat, preferably on a towel. Do not use a laundry bag, as the friction can cause the garment to felt.
